Time to Escape to the Gulf—At a Discount!

I can think of many reasons why my husband and I should vacation in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach sometime within the next month (other than the fact that it’s always a good idea to visit anytime you can). For starters, it’s spring—an absolutely lovely time to visit the Gulf. The weather is ideal for getting outside, enjoying the beaches, enjoying Gulf Coast nature attractions, and playing golf. Really, all that is reason enough for me.

But now we have even more incentive: Gulf Shores Plantation’s Spring Fever $99 Couples Special. Basically, we can book a vacation in a sunsuite or one-bedroom condo (arriving sometime before May 17th) for just $99 a night.

Just the two of us in a Gulf-front condo for a mere $99 per night for a minimum of three nights—it’s almost a requirement to go. I’m a big believer in regularly getting away from life for the sake of sanity as long as it’s doable; this is a very doable (and desirable) vacation.

And it’s a great time to visit, because there are several fun Gulf Shores events scheduled over the next few weeks, like the Wharf Boat and Yacht Show beginning April 25th, the 29th Annual Interstate Mullet Toss (April 26th to 28th), and the Waves of Wine Festival at Caribe the Resort on May 4th (anything wine-related is a very good thing).
