Great minds think alike I guess. I always struggle to come up with an appropriate Valentine’s Day present for my husband (chocolates and flowers don’t exactly scream masculinity). This year I stumbled upon a great deal for some golf clubs, and I know he needs new ones…so it was easy to decide on this year’s gift.
Low and behold, he had the same idea for me.
My anti-golfing sister thought this was an absurd Valentine’s Day gift, but to me it was absolutely perfect (though I did assure her that he also included a box of chocolates with the clubs). He got them because our annual spring golf getaway in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach is coming up—and that’s really the greatest gift for both of us. We’ve booked a nice Gulf Shores Plantation golf package that includes a week of lodging at the Gulf Shores resort, access to amenities like six outdoor pools (and one indoor pool), tennis and basketball courts, and a putting green, and of course lots of golf!
The wonderful thing about these golf packages is you can customize them to fit your needs. So of the area’s nine signature golf courses, we’ll be playing a couple rounds at Kiva Dunes (conveniently right next door to Gulf Shores Plantation) and then one round each at most of the remaining courses.
And now we both have brand new sets of clubs to bring along. I consider that a successful Valentine’s Day.
