I woke up this morning to a rather chilly house, and I couldn’t help but notice when I checked the temperature online (as I do almost every morning) that while it was in the 30s at my house, it was in the 70s in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach.
You gotta love the Gulf Coast! Had I been vacationing there, it would have been a perfect morning for sitting on my Gulf Shores Plantation balcony, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with a cup of coffee in hand, followed up with a nice walk on the beach or maybe a trip next door to Kiva Dunes for a round of golf. This is why I love vacationing in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach.
And I love vacationing specifically at Gulf Shores Plantation—because even on the Gulf, cooler weather does strike, and this Gulf Shores resort is an ideal location when the temperatures dip a little lower. For one thing (and maybe my favorite reason), I can still enjoy a good swim, thank to the resort’s indoor pool. The kids enjoy this feature, too, as well as the Adventure Zone, the indoor arcade. And while they entertain themselves in the game room, my husband and I can go enjoy a coffee, a Gulf view, and maybe a little Wi-Fi at Connections.
But as nice as these Gulf Shores Plantation amenities are, it is the Gulf Coast; rarely does the weather keep us indoors for very long. Even in the fall, we can still get out and enjoy nature hikes, visit our favorite historic attractions, take a trip to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, or even treat ourselves to a Gulf Shores fishing trip or cruise.
Our fall getaway to the Gulf simply can’t get here fast enough!
