Condo vs. Beach Cottage: The Best Option for a Spring Vacation

We’ve had some exciting developments concerning our spring break vacation in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach: some good friends of ours are going to join us!

For years we’ve talked about vacationing together, but the timing has never worked out. Well it’s working out this spring, and we’re all planning to spend the week of spring break together at Gulf Shores Plantation. We know when we’re going (our kids all have the same week off from school for spring break), so now we just have to decide which type of lodging we want—a Gulf-front condo or a beach cottage

Our friends have three kids. Combine that with our two and it’s obvious we’ll need some space. I have to say, I love the condos at Gulf Shores Plantation—clean, nice balcony views, fully equipped kitchens. And we could rent up to a five-bedroom condo to accommodate all of us. Or, since there are so many of us and we might want a little more space, we could rent a couple separate condos and still be near each other.

Another option (I love all the options at Gulf Shores Plantation!) is to rent a beach cottage. This might be the best option for our situation—lots of space and privacy, plus we would get to stay together. And you still get to enjoy all of the amenities at the Gulf Shores resort.

Whatever we end up choosing, I know it’s going to be a fantastic vacation. Bring on spring break!
