Oh,
it’s getting so close: our fall golf vacation in Gulf Shores & Orange
Beach. This is the trip of all trips for me—a week on the Gulf Coast, golf
every day in wonderfully comfortable fall weather, still-warm days spent on the
white-sand beaches…
It’s
true paradise.
Of
course we stay at Gulf Shores Plantation for this vacation, for several
reasons. Most importantly, we are able to customize a golf vacation package. There are nine
beautiful, signature golf courses to choose from in the area, and we love them
all, so being able to set up a vacation around our golf choices is important.
Kiva Dunes is always a given—one of our favorite courses, and it’s right next
door to the Gulf Shores resort. A putting green is even part of the amenities, which
provides a nice warm-up before heading off to the actual golf course. (It’s
also a nice way to work out the kinks when you come back from a not-so-good
round.)
And
when golf is done for the day, we have so many other options for enjoying our
vacation: walk along the beach enjoying the Gulf fall weather, go for a swim in
one of the resort’s six outdoor pools (or relax in the indoor pool if the
weather turns a little cooler), or simply relax on our Gulf-front balcony.
