Beach Condo vs. Beach Cottage—Deciding Which Is Best

My best friend is planning a vacation in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach. Not just any vacation—her entire family is involved in planning a great big family reunion. And apparently they’re split on the issue of rental type: half want a beach condo, half want a beach house.

Those arguing for a beach house bring up a valid point: they’ll have a large group, and house will provide the amount of space necessary for everyone to stay together. Plus they’ll have more privacy.

But the condo argument is also appealing. Condos generally offer amenities, a variable number of bedrooms, and the group can still be close to each other—they’ll just need to rent a couple condos (or a few, depending on the group size).

Now here’s the beauty of Gulf Shores Plantation: whether you stay in a Gulf-frontcondo or a beach cottage, you have access to amenities. And the Plantation offers several desirable amenities, including six outdoor pools (and one indoor pool), eight tennis courts, basketball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoes, a putting green, and a fitness room.

So basically, whether you rent a beach cottage or a couple three-bedroom condos, you can’t lose at Gulf Shores Plantation. The choice ultimately comes down to preference (or maybe flipping a coin). My friend and her family are going to have a blast!
