Plan to Catch a Summer Concert on the Gulf

I love a good summer concert. It reminds me of my college days—concerts in the summer is what my friends and I did back then, whether it was a live band at a popular bar after finals or a major concert that we squeezed in between the late hours of our summer jobs.

Ah, those were the days. Grownup/family life makes it a bit more difficult to do the concert thing these days; a concert during my beach vacation, however, is somehow more doable. Perhaps because I’ve already (temporarily) freed myself from my hectic life—so why not add a concert to the agenda?

And there are some good ones coming up in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach this summer. At the top of my must-see list: Alabama at The Wharf on July 5th. Awesome group, and it’s such perfect timing—go down for a Fourth of July vacation and catch the concert the day after the holiday. Then later in July is another must-see concert: the Dave Matthews Band on July 23rd (also at The Wharf).

July is really starting to look like a good time to book a Gulf Shores Plantation condo.

Also coming up is the 1st Annual FloraBama Shindig on the Sand Beach Concert (June 14th – 16th). More than 250 musicians will perform on five stages, and it only costs $10 per day (or $25 for a weekend pass).

It’s going to be a rockin’ summer on the Gulf. Plan to be there!
